Seeds for Moma

“Seeds for Moma,” a new project sponsored by Friends of Moma Hospital, is already showing great success with its first harvest of beans.

The Seeds program was the idea of Frannie Spooner, daughter of Joe and Maxine Spooner–former Presbyterian missionaries at Moma.

Frannie worked with her church, Community Fellowship Presbyterian Church of New Braunfels, to raise the initial $500 to purchase bean and manioc seeds. More funds have been added to purchase tools and more seeds.

At Moma, the program is run by the men and women of the local church, who work in the garden.
