Moma says “Thank You!”

Hundreds of Moma villagers welcomed Bill Simmons, our liaison with Medical Benevolence Foundation, as he arrived at Moma Nov. 6. Simmons, accompanied by Presbyterian missionary Jeff Boyd and retired pediatrician and master photographer Dr. Jack Benjamin, flew into Moma to see the progress that has been made at the hospital. The visitors, the first to fly into Moma in 10 years, were greeted with song, prayers, and dancing by hundreds of women, men, and children from the village.

Banners at the airfield, church, and hospital showed the joy and gratitude toward Friends of Moma Hospital, MBF, Congo Presbyterian Church, and partner organizations who have helped bring the plight of Moma Hospital to the forefront.

In the next several weeks we hope to have more photos posted. We are especially thankful to Dr. Benjamin, a master photographer, who accompanied the group and took pictures of the hospital and the old mission station. For now, enjoy these pictures, which are stills from a video shot during the visit.
